The 2007 Handbook of United States Coins, also known as the Blue Book, is a reference guide for coin collectors and dealers. It was started in 1942 to become the best US coins handbook providing complete and up-to-date price information gathered from dealers all over the country, letting collectors know what price to expect when they sell their coins to a dealership. Used by many dealers to make offers, the handbook includes tips for collecting and grading coins as well as a seven-grade scale to rate the coins condition. All coins - from 1616 until nova days are covered, including colonial coins, errors, commemorative mintages and tokens, each of them with a detailed description and historical information. Many also come with real-size photographs. The Handbook is useful for both numismatists and people who found some old coins and what to know how much they are worth. The book has 239 pages, paperback or hardcover, and is published by Whitman Publishing.
