Ovid's "Metamorphoses" incorporated resonant themes of Greek life. Centuries later, Ovid's work inspired Georg Friedrich Handel's eighteenth-century creation, the three-act opera "Semele." In 2010, this same opera will find a new audience in Shanghai.
