With a total of 86 science fiction awards, Asimov's Science Fiction is among the best magazines in the genre. It was started in 1977 as Isaac Asimov's Science Fiction Magazine with Azimov's official permission for the use of his name. Until 1992 the author himself wrote some editorials and replied to readers. Gradually, the magazine became more and more popular among science fiction fans and from a quarterly publication in 1978 it became a bi-monthly one and then a monthly magazine. Currently, it is published 10 times a year with double issues in April/May and October/November. In 1992, the magazine changed its name to Asimov's Science Fiction. Each issue offers something to all science fiction fans - from novels and short stories to a series with new developments each month and even science fiction poetry - all coming in separate magazine sections. Different departments also look at science fiction events and conventions and review new books from the genre that are worth reading. Additionally, the 144-page issues are filled with fan art and science fiction news. Azimov's Science Fictions is published by Dell Magazines and has a circulation of 25,000.
