Computer Shopper is among the best computer market guides, helping you find out what is good, what is cheaper and how to get it. The magazine is devoted to people who would like to buy a product without becoming disappointed afterwards. Computer Shopper was first published in 1981 as an 800-page buyer's guide, but one year later, when Stan Veit was appointed as Editor-in-Chief, was reduced to about 100 pages. For years Computer Shopper was run by CNET, an internet news and download portal, until SX2 Media Labs bought it in 2006 still keeping the connection with the professionals from CNET. The magazine's main focus is the offering of comparisons between similar products of different brands, including Top 100 charts, however, other computer-related information also finds its place inside. Regular departments include "Help & How-To", "Web Buyer", directed to electronic purchases, "Techmarket", presenting new products and "Trends", following the latest developments in the industry. In addition to the Q&A sections, each issue also has a page dedicated to letters from the readers and their commentaries. Computer Shopper is published monthly with a circulation of about 200,000.
