DIVERSE: Issues in Higher Education is a periodical appearing twice per month with 26 issues per year. The magazine targets under-represented groups in higher education and publishes articles focusing on burning themes, problems and issues related to the higher education of minorities in the United States. DIVERSE is well known and very popular among people in the academic circle and public policy makers as a source of up to date and in-depth information regarding higher education and diversity. In its regular columns you can find career information and advice while the special issues focus on particular topics like the Top 100 Undergraduate and Graduate Degree Producers, Careers in Higher Education, Recruitment & Retention, Emerging Scholars, Arthur Ashe Sports Scholars Awards, and the annual Academic Kick-Off special. DIVERSE: Issues in Higher Education magazine is formerly known as Black Issues in Higher Education. It was founded in 1984 by Dr. William E. Cox and Frank L. Matthews and it was published by their publishing company CMA. In 2002 DIVERSE: Issues in Higher Education became recipient of the prestigious Folio award.
