Faith: the Fabulous Friction Climbing of La Pedriza

Spain, to most climbers, signifies super-hard sport routes at Siurana or sunny limestone cragging on the Costa Blanca. But the Iberian Peninsula is also home to another 'S' word: slabs, namely the 1,800 granite climbs at La Pedriza. La Pedriza, which translates loosely to 'rock pile', sits almost exactly mid-Spain, less than an hour northwest of Madrid.
