Women, who make up 60 to 70 percent of the riding apparel market, have long been the driving force behind equestrian fashions, both Western and English. But clothing manufacturers are now becoming more responsive to the demands of their “other” customers-men and children. Male riders (notoriously reluctant shoppers) value comfort and durability, and though they won't admit it, they like to be as stylish as the next guy.
