Founded by the famous filmmaker Francis Ford Coppola this literary magazine is a remarkable collection of finely crafted short stories, essays and one-act plays written by popular and not so popular authors. Contributors include such renown masters of the pen as Edna O'Brien, Thom Jones, Woody Allen and Gabriel Garcia Marquez. Each issue has a new, significant design created by a guest artist while among past designers one can find Anna Sui, Helmut Newton and David Bowie. Since its establishment in 1997, Zoetrope has won numerous awards for excellence in the field of fiction, including the National Magazine Award for best fiction in 2001 and is still one of the most original and inspiring sources for film scenarios or just good short-stories literature. The Zoetrope magazine is published quarterly by AZX LLC.
