Bocadog in an interesting combination between the spanish word boca, used as "expressing thoughts", and people's best friend. Of course, a magazine with a name like this is dedicated to the smart and friendly dogs, the ones that are truly regarded as family members by their masters. Each issue offers regular departments such as "Veterinarian VIPs (Very Important Points), discussing dogs' health care, "Training Tip" giving advice to owners who would like a good and disciplined dog, and "PAWtrait of" presenting in each issue a different famous dog-owner. "Woofs & Growls" is the readers' tribune where anybody could give news or opinions about an issue and complements the "Odds & Tail Ends" news section. The interesting dog-oriented puzzles make Bocadog even more enjoyable for its readers. The Bocadog team has also established The Pet Protection Foundation of BocaDog Magazine, Inc. whose purpose is to promote humane care of abandoned dogs and the financing organizations that take care of these animals while the editors try to find homes for the dogs in need.
