China Today

China has one of the fastest growing economies in the world and its society develops more and more each year. China Today provides information to those interested in China's affairs, focusing more on people than politics. It was established in 1952 and for more than half a century China Today has been following all the changes the Chinese people went through. Each issue features a report on a specific topic such as Chinese cinema or the growing importance of sports, while regular departments include "Economy", "Society/Life", "Tourism and Culture", covering pretty much all aspects of the Chinese development today and offering an insider view of intriguing and usually neglected issues. Two interesting columns are the "Language Corner" and "Cooking Class" touching the authentic Chinese heritage and useful for foreigners who live in China or for those interested in the genuine Chinese culture. The magazine comes out monthly with 85 colorful pages thanks to the China Welfare Institute.
